Patience. Love. Grace.

Every year at work I am asked to make 3 personal goals and 3 professional goals. I write them out and send an email along to my boss. Done and done. The project is done. The only problem is come March, I have no recollection of what goals I wrote down. I do this assignment as just that, an assignment. Someone asks me to do something, I do it. Gold Star. Moving on.
But this time I actually put some thought into what my goals should be and I actually used one of my goals as a personal and a professional one. This is what I wrote:

-Run a ½ marathon.
-Take more photos and hopefully these photos will inspire creativity, either within me or for someone else.
-Focus more on my 3 words every day: Patience, Love, Grace. Put these words in my pocket and use the meaning and essences of them daily.

If you haven’t guessed the last one is the cross over goal. I have learned when you cry out to God for something like, “Oh Lord give me patience!” He challenges you. He says got it, I am going to give you an entire day where you have to stretch that muscle. That’s when Love and Grace come into play. You see I can be patience, but my face tells all. Oh boy does it tell all! I can be patience, but not nice. And then Grace comes in and sweeps me away. And I am so thankful for that. So thankful!
Love? Well, love is something that I need to do every day. Love on people. That’s what we all need, desire and long for anyway right? Some love.

PS I didn't take this photo. But I was patience today, so I say gold star for January 27th.
